It’s over! What a semester. Thanks to my sicknasty dancers whose sweat and attitude made this come together in just a few months. And of course, a huge thank you to Max Tannone whose genius created Jaydiohead.

Rockstar envy

I have a problem. I go through periods of time when I want to be someone else (not forever, just for a bit!) – today, it’s Alison Mosshart of The Kills.

I realized this after reading this post over at Ladylike-Fatlace today. I’ve listened to her music for quite some time, but never seen pictures of her. No surprise, she is badass and feminine, stylish and talented. I’m green.

Sunday senses

Listening: to ‘The Concubine’ by Beirut. An effortlessly pleasant song – my kind of ‘easy listening.’

Smelling: stale, musty, second-rate hotel air. This place hasn’t been redone in 25 yrs…

Tasting: soy cappuccino and memories of breakfast – fuckers put bacon in my home fries…

Feeling: the slight callouses on my palms just under the base of my fingers – must be from doing everything with my many rings on. Like lifting weights (occasionally). I am woman, hear me roar.

Cannot wait to be back in the city tonight. There’s only one.
